I am conducting research for my doctoral dissertation at the business school of Johnson & Wales University, entitled Trouble Brewing: The Relationship Between Professional Burnout and Areas of Worklife in US Craft Brewery and Distillery Employees. Your participation is vital as this study aims to investigate the relationship between work-life factors and professional burnout among full-time brewery and distillery employees over the age of 21 in the US. It will explore how individual and organizational factors contribute to burnout. The goal will be to inform interventions for promoting employee well-being and organizational sustainability by revealing burnout dynamics in this industry.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could complete this questionnaire. It is entirely voluntary and will only take approximately 10 minutes. This questionnaire will be completely anonymous, and data will be stored securely. Neither the BA nor the ADI are associated with this research. I truly appreciate your time and effort in completing this questionnaire. Thank you!

About Lifting Lucy – Lifting Lucy (LL) is a nationwide 509(a)(2) tax-exempt organization committed to supporting the most underrepresented communities within brewing industry businesses – Black, Indigenous, and other Women of Color. Through our various initiatives, LL partners with philanthropists, breweries, non-profits, and others to support BIWOC along their journey in beer. Thanks to this support, LL is able to lead the charge of challenging barriers of entry and any hindrance of progress for BIWOC in beer. We are dedicated to fostering opportunities for BIWOC to increase and develop their knowledge and careers within the craft beer industry alongside our peers. Opportunities such as these pave the way for once-in-a-lifetime education, networking, collaborations, and fellowship. We are determined to help curb the barriers that keep us all from learning from these most worthy educators – which ultimately, diminishes how much we can truly expand the longevity, success, and impact of the brewing industry.

Please share more organizations that are helping to support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts in the Craft Beer Industry! Cheers!download
